Business Restrictions Lifted

Governor Cuomo announced today that New York State has reached the vaccination threshold of 70% and that all previously imposed COVID-19 guidelines for businesses have been lifted.

Restrictions are being lifted, in most commercial settings, include social distancing, capacity limits, cleaning requirements, health screening protocols, and contact tracing.

Businesses may implement other health precautions for their employees and patrons, including requiring masks and six feet of social distancing.
The NYS mask policy will still follow Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, which require unvaccinated individuals to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.

The CDC policy of mask wearing at large-scale event venues, pre-K to 12 schools, public transit, homeless shelters, correctional facilities, nursing homes and health care settings is still in effect.
