Inspirations on Canvas

Inspirations on Canvas, located at 449 Center Street in the Village of Lewiston, is a place where creativity is not only seen, but immediately felt as soon as you walk through the door!   Owner Kathy Pignatora has created a location that serves as her art studio and gallery with a mix of jewelry and gift items.  You can often find her working on a new piece or commissioned work of art.

The charming Village of Lewiston atmosphere was the perfect location for Kathy to start and grow her business three years ago.  She wanted to create a place where unique art was affordable and available.  Kathy has been able to cultivate great relationships with her customers, growing her store based on their wants and needs. Inventory has expanded to jewelry, stuffed animals, purses and much more.

Commissioned work has increased this year.  “I keep looking for new fun ideas” says Pignatora. One fresh idea she recently added are ‘Pet Portraits’. Pet owners can now have a portrait of their furry friends right in their home. Kathy has the talent to be able to capture the soul of the animals she has been able to paint.  Popular pets include dogs and cats; however, she has even painted a few horses!

Inspirations on Canvas embodies what the meaning of Small Business Saturday truly is.  Kathy started this business from the heart and has grown it into something she looks forward to every day.   Small Business Saturday brings a mix of new and returning customers.  The businesses on Center Street are able to work with each other and promote each other, gaining more exposure on a day dedicated to shopping local.   “I believe that when people come and buy from the local establishments it really goes directly back into the community” Pignatora says.

On Small Business Saturday, Inspirations on Canvas will offer 20% off all in store purchases. Treats and hot chocolate will be served and a drawing will be held for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate. The promotions will run the entire weekend.

Inspirations on Canvas is located at 449 Center Street. On most days when the weather is mild, you can find the bright Red door open, welcoming you in!  The store is closed closed on Mondays but open from 11 am to 4 pm Tues. – Fri., 11 am to 5 pm on Sat., and 12 am to 4 pm on Sun.  Check out Facebook and Instagram for daily updates!
